THE GREAT ROUTE OF FILM BY ANDALUSIA
Linares de la Sierra, Huelva

Little municipality situated in the centre of the Nature Reserve of Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche. Its paved streets, the Parochial Church of San Juan Bautista, the public washing place, its clustered houses and its setting make this town a very appealing and beautiful location.

Here was filmed…

For the shooting of ‘The heart of the earth’ by Antonio Cuadri, they recreated the old town of Riotinto, which was buried with the mine. That is the reason why the scenes of the village of Riotinto and those featuring the demonstration that ended up in a massacre were shot in the recreation. Almost 5,000 extras from nearby towns participated in the film.
