San Juan de Aznalfarache

The streets of San Juan de Aznalfarache were used in Season 3 of ‘The Crown’ to recreate 50s Greece and portray the place where Princess Alice of Battenberg, Prince Philip’s mother lived.

Located on the western banks of the River Guadalquivir, the village of San Juan de Aznalfarache has grown to become a dormitory town just a couple of kilometres from Seville itself. On the edge of the raised Aljarafe area it offers wonderful views over the city.

Despite the urban invasion it retains various features and monuments of its past including the Almohad walls, the Church of los Sagrados Corazones, the Church of San Juan Bautista and the Chapel of Nuestra Señora del Rosario.
