The Blanco White Educational Complex was built in 1968 with the purpose of housing various educational facilities and student residences.

Some of the common rooms in one of the buildings of the complex were used to build the set for the dining hall of El Espinar prison and the visiting room of Barcelona’s Modelo prison in the film ‘Prison 77’. In one of the buildings of the former Instituto de la Grasa, several rooms representing parts of both prisons were also prepared.
