This 250-metre shore is one of the best beaches in the area due to its tremendous beauty. Situated in an incomparable setting and of significant geological interest, attention is drawn to the lava formations falling onto the coast and to its fine dark sand.

Among its fine sand dunes were shot some of the scenes of ‘Bwana‘ (Imanol Uribe, 1996) and ‘La mitad de Óscar‘ (Manuel Martín Cuenca, 2010), shot in Cala Chica, apart from Cabo de Gata, La Isleta del Moro, Playa de Los Genoveses and the village of Enix.
