The Centre Pompidou Málaga is a branch of France’s National Center for Art and Culture Georges Pompidou, located at Pier 1 in Málaga. It is the first branch of the Parisian Centre Pompidou established abroad, inaugurated on March 28, 2015. The center offers an impressive selection of 19th and 20th-century artworks.

The building housing the center is called “El Cubo,” designed by architects Javier Pérez de la Fuente and Juan Antonio Marín Malavé. In this structure, Daniel Buren created the installation Incubé in 2015, which has since become the emblem of the Centre Pompidou Málaga. This artistic intervention, a symbol of the institution in the city’s landscape, was purchased by the Málaga City Council in 2017.

In episode 4 of The Snow Girl, Miren passes in front of the Pompidou when she receives a photograph featuring the museum. The image highlights a location where she will discover a clue about Amaya.
