Located some 13 Km from the capital of Almeria, this is urbanization, built in 2005, which is located right on the edge of the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Nature Park.
The urbanization was originally conceived to be used as an Olympic Village by athletes participating in the Mediterranean Games and its design featured many green areas, cycle lanes, terraces, and a golf course. It now consists of a series of low-rise apartment buildings structured in residential complexes equipped with private pools and areas of gardens all built around an 18-hole golf course. In the area closest to the beach there are several four-star hotels as well as bars and restaurants.
