Located on the western slope of the Alcazaba hill, it was built in the early years of the 1st century AD and used until the 3rd century. It is a medium-sized theater that preserves much of the cavea or seating, the orchestra chamber richly decorated with large marble slabs, and the scaena, whose floor has been reproduced today with a wooden platform as it would have been in use. It was discovered in 1951 during landscaping work in the area.
