The Monte Miramar Palace is located in the Malaga neighbourhood of El Limonar, very close to the city centre. The impressive site encompasses more than 30,000m2 of landscaped gardens and is currently used for celebrations and private events.

Its facilities were used in Season 4 of ‘The Crown’ as the Canberra residence of Prime Minister Hawke, whom Carlos and Diana visit during their trip to Australia in 1983.

Interiors of the Palace were also used to recreate the Prime Minister’s offices and the room from which Diana overhears Charles talking to Camilla on the phone.
