This spectacular 400-metre virgin beach of golden sand with exceptional weather conditions is one of the most stunning beaches of the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Nature Reserve. Its seabed is equally beautiful and it is frequented by scuba divers. The castle of San Ramón, dating back to the 18^th century, is located next to it.

This great treasure, unknown by many people, was used as set for the TV show ‘Vis a Vis‘ (Antena 3), as well as the German film ‘Der Weg nach San José’ (Roland Suso, 2014), ‘Far from the sea’ (Imanol Uribe, 2015), and ‘Living is easy with eyed closed’ (David Trueba, 2014). The latter shooting was also extended to Terque, Tabernas, Aguamarga, the Cervantes theatre of the capital and, especially, the village of Salinas de Cabo de Gata, where the bar and the boarding house in which Javier Cámara and Natalia de Molina stay were located.
