Also known as ‘La China beach’, this is one of the most popular beaches in Almuñécar. It is located in the town centre, next to the promenade, and offers a wide variety of services and facilities. From the beach you can access one of the most popular viewpoints in Almuñécar, the Mirador del Santo, which is named after the highest rock of the Peñones de San Cristóbal Natural Monument, made up of three rocks that emerge from the sea.

The Mirador Cruz del Santo in Almuñécar represented the cemetery of Nerja in the final chapters of ‘Verano azul’. Situated on the Peñón del Santo, it is supposed to be where Chanquete is buried.
