Located in the historic centre of the city in a building constructed between 1895 and 1908 by the architects José Gallego y Díaz and José López, it was inaugurated as the seat of the courts on 12 February 1971. It consists of two buildings separated by a small pedestrian street between them. It has a square floor plan and rationalist aesthetics with a large gate on the ground floor.

Several of the scenes of ‘Love & Revolution’ were filmed on location and inside the Seville courthouse.
