La boda

Felisa is a free spirit, with all the problems that entails in a rural setting. On several occasions she moves to Madrid, where things do not go well for her, and she is forced to return to the village, to her parents’ home. Now in her forties, she remains largely dependent on her mother and her mother’s widow’s pension, as what she earns from doing elderly ladies’ hair at home is barely enough to cover her expenses. Weekend parties and the debts she owes to the village drug dealer lead her to agree to marry Sebastián, the unmarried son of one of her clients, with the sole aim of recouping the money she has spent over the course of a lifetime.
