The Barrio de la Judería is the quarter where the Jews lived between the 10^th and the 15^th centuries. Situated in the northwest of the Mosque-Cathedral, it is one of the most visited places in the city of Córdoba, since it also has a Synagogue. It is part of the historical city centre of Córdoba, which was declared a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 1994.

In Pedro Almodóvar’s ‘Talk to her’ , the leads Rosario Flores and Argentinean Darío Grandinetti drive down Calle Magistral González Francés and end up entering Hotel Conquistador, located in front of the east wall of the Mosque.
