The history of the González Byass brand begins in 1835, with the commercial activity of Manuel María González Ángel. The company was formally established under its current name in 1868. From the 1940s onward, it settled in its current location, on the grounds of old houses and wineries within the Andalusian medina. Over time, it acquired properties and streets, constructing wineries, facilities, and gardens, ultimately achieving its current form and becoming the most visited winery in the Jerez wine region.

The Vineyard (Guillem Morales, Alberto Ruiz Rojo y Patricia Font, 2021)
In ‘The Vineyard’, the streets that host a street market, where Santos Huesos and Mauro Larrea chase Carola Gorostiza in episode 8, are the old Calle Ciegos, which has been named as such since 1589, and Calle Unión. Both are located within the medieval walled enclosure and became part of the winery facilities as they expanded. An office and a London-style lounge featured in the series also belong to these wineries.
