La Almedina is the oldest neighborhood in Almería, located south of the Alcazaba. Its construction possibly dates back to the 10th century. This neighborhood offers a combination of intricate streets and old houses with Almería-style whitewashed or colorful door-and-window architecture, reflecting the city’s Arab and horizontal cultural mix.

Due to its wonderful Arabic-style architecture, the streets of this neighborhood have simulated Eastern locations in films such as ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade’ and ‘Wonder Woman 1984’.
