The Molino de la Romera has now been transformed into a charming restaurant that utilizes the former spaces of the old olive oil mill. Guests can enjoy its unique features, such as the grand fireplace room, the beam room, the arches room, and the vaulted room, which was once part of the old granary. There’s also the Arab-style patio, complete with a cistern that collects rainwater in winter, and a vine-covered pergola offering refreshing shade in summer.
From the Torre Mirador, one of the highest points in the city, as well as from the terrace, previously the marketplace, visitors are treated to spectacular views.
In episode 18 of the third season of ‘Relic Hunter’, several locations are featured, including the Ermita de San Mateo and the Parador de Carmona overlooking the Vega. As if embarking on an adventure in an exotic land, the clumsy protagonists stop at the Mirador de la Romera to inquire about the Iglesia de San Francisco. Surely, their questions would have been swiftly answered had they consulted the Tourism Office!
