The Petra de la Riva Palace is situated in Plaza Rafael Rivero, an area in the city centre surrounded by traditional palatial monuments and popular bars and restaurants. The building has a neoclassical facade, adorned by two statues of soldiers, as well as ionic columns which support an artistic central balcony.
In ‘El verano que vivimos’the palace is Hernán’s family home, and it is here that various meetings and interactions between the protagonists take place. There are also scenes portraying flamenco gatherings, such as the one featuring women from the Tío José de Paula flamenco club.
