The Casa de Viña El Corregidor, dating back to the early 19th century, owes its name to its connection with a Corregidor of the city of Jerez. It retains both its noble and workers’ sections, featuring 9 wine presses, an almijar (a flat area where grapes are laid out to dry in order to reach a higher alcohol content), and quarters for the day laborers.

In the first episode of the series ‘The Vineyard’, the protagonist, Soledad, crushes grapes in one of the wine presses of El Corregidor, and the vineyards seen are those of this estate.
