In season 2, Rafa has fallen into a depression because cancer has changed his life. He has impotence issues and sees himself as the old man he never wanted to accept. He asks Müller to keep his end of the bargain: to help him die as they agreed. Müller refuses, but is unable to convince him, and Rafa keeps trying until he reaches the end of his patience. Müller decides that Rafa will have to accompany him to whatever he needs to do to keep an eye on him. But Müller has his own problems.
Before hitting rock bottom, they meet Alejandro, a pre-retired intellectual who becomes their guide on their new journey into old age.
