The building that houses the Hotel Posada de Palacio belonged to the grandparents of the author of the novel “El palomo cojo” Eduardo Medicuti, who was born in Sanlúcar. Over the years, the building became a well-known central hotel in the city.
Although some changes were made to the furniture and decoration for the filming of ‘El palomo cojo’, the very essence of the house, with its Renaissance structure and Arabic influences, Andalusian patios full of light and its two floors, with carefully decorated rooms and period furniture, elegant fabrics and original paintings, has been kept intact throughout the scenes.
