Some mysterious obituary notices come to the attention of a young journalist. They are always unsigned and always dedicated to woman called Lucia. Reading them, they suggest a story of love, friendship and betrayal which happened in the vineyards of Jerez during the summer of 1958. An undying love whose protagonists, although forty years have passed, still can’t forget. There are moments which last a lifetime.
“I love summers, every one, without exception. They appear to be the same but each one has its own essence. Summer is synonymous with feeling and this is my way of describing it… a song for the “El Verano Que Vivimos” film.
Actors Pablo Molinero and Javier Rey confessed their passion for motorbikes, which are very much part of the film, in a city which is famous precisely for its racing circuit – a Mecca for fans of motorcycling.
Alejandro Sanz, who was born in the province of Cádiz, is the author of the film’s main song, a romantic ballad that alludes to the love triangle which is the essence of the story.
For one of the film’s more important scenes Javier Rey had to run through the vineyards of Jerez at night together with the actress María Pedraza.
